Okie Jam is where you can find ideas to create meaningful and engaging lessons for your classroom. I’m a semi-retired music teacher with 33 years of experience to pay forward. So, where did the name Okie Jam come from? 

I live on a homestead in Oklahoma where I have acres of Blackberries that have been harvested by my family for almost 100 years. One of my favorite things to do is to make cobblers and preserves. And…because I’m an Oklahoman and a musician, that was the inspiration for this site domain. Now who’s ready to make Okie Jam your “JAM“?!
